PayPal in Ukraine is now fully operational and Ukrainian cards can already be linked to the PayPal accounts, announced on March, 17th the Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov. Ukrainian residents can now transfer funds from their PayPal wallets to bank cards, pay online, send and receive money to and from their friends and family.

PayPal CEO Dan Shulman explained: “Over  the past 2.5 weeks, 400 employees of the company have done what they usually do 9-12 months.” The commissions on transactions with PayPal in Ukraine are temporarily suspended to help Ukrainians transfer and receive money during the war.

This piece of news comes on top of suspending all PayPal services in Russia, which happened on March, 8th. Fedorov thanked PayPal for this move and invited the company to start operating in Ukraine.
