In a much-publicized disaster this May, the Terra network crashed. Now, more than 48 projects which previously ran on Terra have relocated to Polygon.
Polygon is Ethereum’s layer-2 scaling solution. Its Terra Developer Fund seems to be the key factor responsible for projects’ relocation.
An NFT marketplace OnePlanet has also significantly stimulated the relocation. Its Ark*One initiative assisted all 48 projects to move over to Polygon. Ark*One still offers assistance for previously Terra-based projects which are looking to relocate. Additionally, its launchpad will be available to assist projects’ launch on Polygon.
This news signals that Polygon has beaten VeChain. The VeChain layer-1 scaling solution welcomed grant applications for Terra-based projects. However, the developers of the majority of such projects have chosen Polygon instead.
